Yarn Balls and Bibs

The girls and I went to work winding our tangled mess of yarn skeins into balls yesterday. In case you're wondering what would possess someone to do this, keeping your yarn in balls keeps it from tangling and knotting when you are kintting. It also looks so much nicer! My friend, Michelle, came over last night and joined in the fun. Thanks Michelle!

Here is a little tutorial on making bibs from washcloths. This is a great way to make use of those great deals you see at the store of 20 washcloths for $5. They are absorbant, they can be turned around if needed, they can be washed multiple times and still look nice and they don't take up much room. Take you washcloth and cut out a hole big enough for your baby or toddlers neck.
Using a zig-zag stitch on your machine, stitch around the neck opening to keep it from fraying.
I just use a safety pin to fasten mine on so that it is adjustable. Here's Taylor modeling one for me:
They fold neatly and fit in your kitchen drawer.
